The postal system plays a crucial role in connecting people and businesses across vast distances. It facilitates communication, commerce, and the delivery of essential goods and services. Postal services supporting economic growth by enabling trade and e-commerce, particularly in remote areas. They also provide access to financial services and government benefits, contributing to social inclusion and cohesion. Furthermore, the postal system is a vital part of emergency response and disaster relief efforts, ensuring that critical supplies and information reach affected communities promptly. We 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐬 feel privileged to celebrate the Postal workers day as a token of our gratitude.

𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐩

Santhanam Vidhyalaya CBSE Senior Secondary School organized a 3 days 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐩 for the students of 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝟏𝟐 from 17th June to 19th June, 2024. The students had a first-time experience of staying away from homes and parents. The three days camp in Western Ghats was filled with various outdoor activities that promote (𝐢) 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 (𝐢𝐢) 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 (𝐢𝐢𝐢) 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟-𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 (𝐢𝐯) 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞. The training focused on fundamental biological science, organic agriculture, environmental education, tribal lifestyle, moral values and tradition. Hiking along the streams, having fun staying in a tent, refreshing bath in a stream, campfire and socializing with friends are the most beautiful things experienced by the students. The camp was a great opportunity for children to bind with nature, socialize and self-learn from the environment. Students have learnt that “Forests are an intricate ecosystem on earth which is home to various species of animals and birds and hold immense significance in promoting the overall well-being of living organisms”.

World Earth Day

We celebrated World Earth Day with the theme ‘Planet vs Plastic’. Students organised a rally to create awareness about the ill effects of plastic on the environment. They also presented Skit, debate and speeches to educate the audience on how plastic is harmful to the earth and how we can reduce the use of plastic so that our Earth is free from pollution. The event was organised to inculcate a sense of preservation of the priceless treasure, our planet Earth in its pristine form, for the future.

World Shakespeare’s Day

Date : 30th April 2024.

Let’s enjoy and appreciate the wisdom of William Shakespeare, a renowned English playwright and poet, on this world Shakespeare Day and English Language Day. As part of the Literature club activity students of Santhanam Vidhyalaya enacted scenes and characters from Shakespeare plays. They also elegantly presented some scenes of Shakespeare plays which thoroughly entertained the audience. The event was marked by a wonderful display of talent by the students and the show is the best tribute to one of the greatest playwrights.

𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐦 𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐡𝐲𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐚 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 participated at the 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐍𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐚 𝐕𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐢 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 finals held at 𝐕𝐈𝐓 𝐕𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞 on 08-02-2024. Earlier at the 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬 from our school were selected and participated in the finals. Young Indians, an arm of ClI – Confederation of Indian Industry organised an event to felicitate young achievers from various fields on 18/06/2022. Master NareinShiva of Santhanam Vidhyalaya has received the award from the hands of Honourable Minister for School education Mr.Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi . The award recognizes the student’s achievement in the field of archery . He has won 4 gold and 2 silver medals so far. Santhanam Vidhyalaya is proud to bear yet another gem on its crown. Thanks YI for providing a platform and for inspiring Indian youth to work towards realizing the dream of a developed nation.

Santhanam Vidhyalaya organised a seminar under its 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐈𝐃 𝐓𝐎 𝐀𝐂𝐄. The speaker of the day 𝐌𝐬. 𝐂𝐚𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐧 𝐉𝐨𝐲𝐜𝐞 a third year Medical student inspired the budding NEET aspirants of Santhanam Vidhyalaya on the strategies and framework for cracking NEET exam . Students had a lot of takeaways from the session.

Our student 𝐁. 𝐒𝐚𝐚𝐭𝐯𝐢𝐤𝐚 secured the 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 under 6 to 8 age category and 𝐒. 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐤𝐚 won 𝐬𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 under 10 to 12 age category.

New Montessori environment "Tulips"

Santhanam Vidhyalaya is excited to mark this day an eventful one with the inauguration of the new Montessori environment “Tulips” at our school campus. Dr.Padmashini Balamurugan, Consultant Paediatrician and Neonatologist was the chief guest for the session. She addressed the parents and students and gave very effective information on healthy mental and physical development of children and positive parenting.
