Workshop on Fun with Physics

“Fun with Physics” at Santhanam Vidhyalaya!

An exciting and enriching workshop was conducted in collaboration with IAPT (Indian Association of Physics Teachers), featuring the esteemed Prof. T.S. Natarajan, former faculty of IIT Madras & IIT Tirupati. From engaging demonstrations to mind-blowing experiments, our Grade XI students experienced physics like never before! The interactive session sparked curiosity, critical thinking, and a deeper love for science. 

Achievers’ Day

Our institution was filled with excitement and joy as we celebrated Achievers’ Day, felicitating students who performed exceptionally well in the IIT JEE Main session 1 examination. Their hard work and determination proved that they had their noses to the grindstone. These high achievers were called on stage and awarded certificates of excellence by our esteemed Chief guest Prof. Guhan Jayaraman, Department of Biotechnology, IIT Madras. In his speech, Prof. Guhan Jayaraman stimulated the students’ interest by saying that how they study is more important than which college they study in, and that success can be achieved by integrating all subjects.

Truly, the event was a feather on the cap for our school and a testament to the spirit of excellence.

The Kindergarten Graduation Day

The Kindergarten Graduation Day Celebration was a feast for the eyes when our little graduates proudly participated in the Graduation parade, wearing their caps and gowns. It truly stole the show.

The Chief guest Dr. Vinod Gunasekaran, consultant Pediatrician, Maa Kauvery Hospital, Trichy, in his speech, insisted that children should be provided with balanced nutrition, supportive parenting, sufficient playing and adequate sleeping to make them healthy and happy individuals and felicitated the little Graduates. 

The children were on cloud nine, performing colourful and beautiful dances and thanks – giving songs.

The day ended with happy and everlasting memories.

Science Day celebrations

Santhanam Vidhyalaya campus has geared up for its Science Day celebrations on an inspiring note with the gracious presence of Dr. Preethi V. Rajan, a Board-Certified Pediatrician from the Atlanta metropolitan area. Dr. Rajan, who practices in Lawrenceville and Clarkston, Georgia, and is affiliated with Children’s Medicine, PC, interacted warmly with our students and motivated them to pursue their dreams in the medical field — especially those preparing for NEET. She visited our Robotics STEAM Lab and Montessori environment, appreciating the innovative learning spaces and encouraging our young minds to explore science with curiosity and confidence. With her vast expertise in pediatric healthcare — including preventive care, developmental monitoring, and the management of various childhood conditions — she shared valuable insights about dedication, compassion, and lifelong learning in the noble medical profession. Her visit truly inspired our students to aim higher, work harder, and dream bigger in the world of science and medicine.

Naalaya Vignani – 2025

Our campus came alive with curiosity and creativity as students enthusiastically participated in the Naalaya vignani -2025, Science Competition organised by VIT Chennai in collaboration with Hindu Tamil Thisai and Tamilnadu Ariviyal Iyakkam. Innovative models, exciting experiments, and confident presentations reflected their scientific thinking and problem-solving skills. The event truly celebrated young minds exploring science beyond textbooks and inspired a spirit of inquiry . We are very much honoured to host Shri V. Balakrishnan,IPS, IG, Central Zone, Trichy, Dr.M. Krishnan, Vice Chancellor, Tamilnadu Central University,      Dr. T.Thiyagarajan, Pro- Vice Chancellor,VIT Chennai amidst us today at SanthanamVidhyalaya.

Learning Beyond Classrooms: How Integrated Degrees and Projects Create Real-World Professionals

The session on ‘Learning Beyond Classrooms: How Integrated Degrees and Projects Create Real-World Professionals’ organized by our institution made the students understand why and how Learning doesn’t stop at the classrooms. Chief Guest Dr. Nithyananda.K.V, Assistant Professor, Finance and Legal Systems,IIM,Trichy, highlighted how summer internship, Projects based learning and Live projects provide students with essential real-world experience, problem solving skill, and practical knowledge. He also spoke about how Integrated degrees help students learn the ropes of the real world while they’re still studying. He further explained how these integrated programs help learners to roll up their sleeves, instead of just hitting the books, connect theory to practice, and see how ideas play out on the ground. This session, in short, offered an insight on integrated learning turns knowledge into real-world experience, and how real professionals are made.


77th Republic Day

The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in our school. Shri. R. Varadarajan and Smt.    G. Geetha varadarajan, proud parents of Major Mukund Varadarajan graced the occasion. The programme began with the unfurling of the National Flag by the chief guest, followed by the National Anthem. In his address, the chief guest said that it is not necessary to join the army to serve our country; one can contribute by being excellent in any chosen field. He also advised students to stay physically fit and have faith in themselves. The celebration continued with patriotic songs and dances performed by the students, filling everyone with a sense of pride and patriotism.

The event came to a graceful close with a formal vote of thanks.

Santhanam Vidhyalaya proudly celebrated National Mathematics Day on 20th January 2026, commemorating the birth anniversary of the legendary mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan.

The day came alive with engaging student performances like the Division Song, Shapes Dance, the skit “Numbers Come Alive”, interactive puzzles, and a Mega Mathematics Exhibition showcasing innovative models and creative ideas.

With the inspiring speech of *Dr. N. Shivakumaran,* Professor, NIT, Trichy, celebration beautifully highlighted the joy, logic, and creativity behind Mathematics.

As we commemorate the day our Constitution was adopted, we organized a session on ‘Exploring the legal domain: concepts, relevance, and professional directions’. The resource person Ms. NIVEDHA.S B.A., B.L. (Hons)., LL.M., Assistant Professor of Law, NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, in an engaging way, outlined the power of law, its importance, its feasibility, its application and its volatile nature.

In addition, the role of lawyers, various options available to become a lawyer and skills needed to be effective and successful in the profession were well discussed. Overall, it was a well-structured and meaningful presentation that helped our students appreciate the importance of constitution day and the values we must uphold as responsible citizens.
