As we commemorate the day our Constitution was adopted, we organized a session on ‘Exploring the legal domain: concepts, relevance, and professional directions’. The resource person Ms. NIVEDHA.S B.A., B.L. (Hons)., LL.M., Assistant Professor of Law, NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, in an engaging way, outlined the power of law, its importance, its feasibility, its application and its volatile nature.

In addition, the role of lawyers, various options available to become a lawyer and skills needed to be effective and successful in the profession were well discussed. Overall, it was a well-structured and meaningful presentation that helped our students appreciate the importance of constitution day and the values we must uphold as responsible citizens.

Santhanam Vidhyalaya proudly celebrated Engineer’s Day with an inspiring session by Dr. Gitakrishnan Ramadurai, Professor, Department of Data Science and AI, IIT Madras.

His special lecture on “Earth.AI: The World in 2050” gave our students a glimpse into the exciting future of technology, sustainability, and artificial intelligence.

The session left young minds motivated to dream big, innovate, and engineer a better tomorrow.

Santhanam Vidhyalaya Senior Secondary School successfully hosted a 4-day Teachers’ Happiness Program led by Dr. Sunil Srinivasan and Dr. Shanthi, inspiring our educators with valuable insights for both personal and professional growth.

Santhanam Vidhyalaya proudly marked the 79th Independence Day with immense patriotism, joy, and gratitude.

We were honoured to welcome Major Madhan Kumar (Retd), Indian Army, who hoisted our beloved Tricolour and delivered an inspiring address. His speech highlighted the valour of Operation Sindoor, the spirit of “Jai Hind”, and paid a moving tribute to Major Saravanan, whose sacrifice continues to inspire generation.

The campus came alive with the spirit of freedom — echoes of “Vande Mataram” filled the air as our students showcased their talents through soulful songs, stirring speeches, and vibrant cultural performances.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us in honouring our nation’s freedom and the heroes who made it possible.

The Shri. SKP Memorial Music Concert, held on 2nd August 2025, was a soulful tribute to Late Advocate Shri. S. Kunjithapatham, graced by the mesmerising voice of Mr. Sandeep Narayan, accompanied by Shri. Madan Mohan (Violin), Shri. Trivandrum Balaji (Mridangam), and Shri. Anirudh Athreya (Kanjira).

The auditorium resonated with classical brilliance as students, parents, and guests immersed themselves in the enchanting musical evening. The crowd responded with heartfelt applause and cheer, making it a truly memorable occasion.

The event was not just a tribute but a celebration of music, culture, and the legacy of a revered personality who touched many lives.

The much-awaited Annual Sports Day 2025 was held with great enthusiasm and high energy on 15th July 2025, turning the school grounds into a vibrant arena of athleticism, teamwork, and celebration. The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Varun Chakaravarthy, a renowned Indian cricketer.

After the Chief Guest declared the Sports Meet open,the mega event commenced with a visual treat by students showcasing aerobics, and rhythmic formations.

To add excitement, many on-the-spot events such as relay races and gymnastics were conducted.

Particularly, the events like the delightful Charlie Chaplin dance, NATYOBICS – a combination of dance, yoga and Aerobics grabbed the attention of the audience.

While Addressing the audience, the Cricketer requested parents to encourage their kids to play mutiiple sports. He also suggested that students should have control over their habits and get rid of compulsive habits.

The Sports Day concluded with the national anthem.

It is an electrifying way to demonstrate India’s growing prowess in Science, Technology. We organized a session on ‘ Role of engineering in India’s growth and development’ followed by a spectacular aerial display of drone showcasing its maneuverability and design.

The Chief guest Professor of Aerospace Engineering, IIT Madras, Co-Founder, Agnikul Cosmos, and Founder, The ePlane Company, Prof Sathyanarayanan R Chakravarthy from IIT Madras,affirmed that our country has become the stage of the world. With very little infrastructure, our country is advancing on technology, he added.

Using our cost effective technology, he expressed confidence that we would make all modes travel, including space travel, more affordable.

Finally, he advised that we should focus on doing our job, assuring that the results would follow.

This event would not only highlight India’s indigenous innovation, but also inspire students to pursue a career in the field of technology.

The spirit of unity and dynamism filled the air as our investiture Ceremony commenced with School Prayer song and ‘ Thamizh thai vazhthu’. The newly elected Student Council for the academic year 2025 – 2026 pledged to perform their duties and responsibilities to the best of their abilities. The Chief Guest Lt Gen Karanbir Singh Brar, PVSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding, Dakshin Bharat Area, Indian Army, Chennai, awarded badges and flags to elected School Pupil Leader, Assistant School Pupil Leader, Captains of Houses Agni, Varuna, Vayu, Bhoomi and Aakash, Head boys and Head Girls, Presidents and Secretaries of school clubs. The students gathered in a formation depicting ‘JAI JAWAN” to honour the soldiers of our country which was appreciated by the General officer. The Chief Guest, in his address, praised the system of electing members to the student’s council. He advised elected leaders to be focused on their jobs. While talking about leadership he said our Indian armed forces are doing well because of good leadership. He further said Leadership is all about inspiring people through fair and transparent practices and through self-integrity. The grand ceremony concluded with the National Anthem.

Summer Sports Camp

Anything that begun well will end well too. Our Summer Kids workshop inaugurated on 28/04/2025, went on zealously and the Valedictory ceremony was held at Santhanam Vidhyalaya Senior Secondary School today ,08/05/2025, Thursday. Students showcased their learnings in a creative and talented display which were nurtured during the camp. Certificates were distributed to the participants to appreciate their accomplishments, making this summer camp even more enriching.

 25/04/25, Friday, Vidya Seva Ratnam Shri K. Santhanam Memorial Lecture, a thought-provoking lecture on the topic “Be a Job Giver, Not a Job Seeker” was organized in memory of our Auditor, Vidya Seva Ratnam Shri. K. Santhanam. After paying floral tribute to the doyen, our Chief Guest, Dr. Ashwin Mahalingam, B. Tech.,M. S, Ph. D., Professor, IIT Madras, spoke about Entrepreneurship, the purpose of becoming an entrepreneur and how Entrepreneurship significantly impacts society. He also outlined some of the ways to become Entrepreneurs and presented various models of Entrepreneurship. During the interaction he answered the inquisitive questions of the students in an explicit and lucid way. The lecture concluded with a strong message: Be bold, be innovative, and strive to be a job giver and an effective leader. A truly memorable lecture indeed.
