Summer Kids Workshop

Anything that begun well will end well too. Our Summer Kids workshop inaugurated on 28/04/2025, went on zealously and the Valedictory ceremony was held at Santhanam Vidhyalaya Senior Secondary School today ,08/05/2025, Thursday. Students showcased their learnings in a creative and talented display which were nurtured during the camp. Certificates were distributed to the participants to appreciate their accomplishments, making this summer camp even more enriching.

Vidya Seva Ratnam Shri K. Santhanam Memorial Lecture

 25/04/25, Friday, Vidya Seva Ratnam Shri K. Santhanam Memorial Lecture, a thought-provoking lecture on the topic “Be a Job Giver, Not a Job Seeker” was organized in memory of our Auditor, Vidya Seva Ratnam Shri. K. Santhanam. After paying floral tribute to the doyen, our Chief Guest, Dr. Ashwin Mahalingam, B. Tech.,M. S, Ph. D., Professor, IIT Madras, spoke about Entrepreneurship, the purpose of becoming an entrepreneur and how Entrepreneurship significantly impacts society. He also outlined some of the ways to become Entrepreneurs and presented various models of Entrepreneurship. During the interaction he answered the inquisitive questions of the students in an explicit and lucid way. The lecture concluded with a strong message: Be bold, be innovative, and strive to be a job giver and an effective leader. A truly memorable lecture indeed.

Rocket Launch

A much-anticipated Rocket Launch at Santhanam Vidhyalaya Blasts Off with Excitement! A thrilling rocket launch event on the school grounds was organized with the support of Propeller Technologies, Trichy, to spark curiosity in space exploration, physics, and engineering. Two models of Rockets ‘Hurricane’ and Rocket ‘Moonshot’ which were launched successfully showcasing how science can be both educational and fun. The countdowns for the launch were filled with much eagerness and anticipation. Students cheered up as the rockets soared into the sky. As the rocket lifts off, so does the institution’s efforts in producing scientifically inclined responsible students also soaring to new heights.

Olympiad Exam

We are proud to announce that the students of Santhanam Vidhyalaya Senior Secondary School have achieved remarkable success in the Olympiad exams 2024.

Grade VII – Anirudh Hariharan and Grade VI – Vaangmayee.N have excelled in the Samskritam subject, securing top positions at the state level and national level Sanskrit Olympiad. Their outstanding performance is a testament to their hard work, determination, and the academic support provided by our dedicated faculty.

These achievements not only bring great pride to the school but also reflect our continuous commitment to nurturing excellence in academics and holistic education.

Know Your Forces

NCC cadets of SanthanamVidhyalaya attended the “Know Your Forces” event , organized by the Airforce base, Thanjavur on 16/04/25. The event consisted of familiarization of different functions of the Air Force , static display of aircraft and weapon systems , movie show ,quiz competition and flying display of SU-30 multirole aircraft . Students thoroughly enjoyed this event and Cadet Jeeva Swaminathan N won first place in the quiz competition. The aim of such events is to encourage students to aspire and consider the armed forces as one of their career choices.

KAMBAR 2025

The Valedictory and Prize Distribution function of KAMBAR 2025, was held at Madurai today (12.04.2025) at Thiagarajar College of Engineering. Congratulations to the student winners from across the State. Our CEO, Mr. K. Chandrasekharan was honoured by the Hon’ble Governor for providing support to the KAMBAR 2025 competitions. Thanks to the program organisers Dr. S. Vaidhyasubramaniam, Vice-Chancellor of SASTRA University and Dr. Sudha Seshayyan, Director of SASTRA Chennai Campus. Mr. K. Hari Thiagarajan, Chairman and Correspondent of Thiagarajar College of Engineering and Dr. G.V. Selvam, Vice President of Vellore Institute of Technology were also present. ‎

Kindergarten Graduation Day

The Kindergarten graduation ceremony commenced with a traditional ‘graduation walk’. The event was filled with fun, celebrations, enthusiasm and laughter when it was hosted by children themselves.

Excellence in Education

We are proud to announce that Shri K. Chandrasekharan, CEO of Santhanam Vidhyalaya Senior Secondary School Tiruchirappalli, has been honoured with the prestigious “Excellence in Education” award today, March 11, 2025 at Madurai.

A Retreat Ceremony

A retreat ceremony was held on the 13th of February 2025 to pave the way for the formation of new council of students.

In the grand ceremony, members of the student council, 2024 – 2025, such as the School Pupil Leader, Senior Head Boy, Senior Head Girl, Captains of houses, Club presidents, secretaries and Class Prefects handed over their badge titles to the School Principal in a notion of completion of their office for this year.

The principal, while honouring the leaders, acknowledged their contribution and wished them a bright future.

The event was ceremonial and memorable one.

14th Annual Day

We, Santhanam Vidhyalayans, celebrated our 14th Annual day with great zest and enthusiasm. Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest Dr. P. Veeramuthuvel, Project Director, Chandrayaan 3, U R Rao Satellite Centre, ISRO talked about Chandrayaan mission and the challenges faced in the project.He also elaborated on some of the essential qualities needed to come up in life.

The cultural extravaganza by our students showcased various dance and art forms. Especially, ‘Kalinga Narthana’ by lord Krishna to demolish ego and ‘War’ dance based on ‘Kurukshetra war’ to end adharma left the audience mesmerized.

Kudos to all the participants who have showcased their excellent skills in dancing, dramatics and music. Keep rocking kiddos.

Locating Self Under the Indian Constitution

To enable the students to get the basic understanding of our constitution and its importance, we organized a 𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 on “𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧”.

The 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐆𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐌𝐫. 𝐓. 𝐕 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧 𝐓𝐞𝐣, 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐫, 𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐒𝐀𝐑 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐚𝐰, 𝐇𝐲𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐝, outlined about Constitution, its need and importance. He also talked about the Citizen’s participation in Governance and Ambedkar’s Prophecy.

This session not only would help the students to appreciate the relevance, functionality and significance of the constitution, but also make them true and Law – abiding citizens of our country.
