Reading is to mind what exercise is to the body. To enhance the reading habit of the students 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐕𝐢𝐝𝐡𝐲𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐚 celebrated “𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐃𝐚𝐲” in its own special way! To cultivate a love for reading, our children were gifted with short story books and encouraged them to read. It was wonderful to see children eagerly reading stories along with their parents. The 𝐂𝐄𝐎𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, while talking about the importance of books, said that reading books enhance creativity, develop communication skills and build character.
The 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, in her address, insisted that children should read books everyday. She reiterated the theme. ‘India reads’ on 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐃𝐚𝐲 .This event would surely encourage children to discover the pleasure of reading.
